Michael Oren’s super secret visit to NU yesterday caused a bit of stir among those who did get the memo about his appearance. There were protesters on the street of both pro-Israel and pro-Palestine camps who were at various points at each other’s necks (right off the bat) and more diplomatically discussing issues (once they realized they would be protesting more or less right next to each other).

For anyone who didn’t know already, Michael Oren is a controversial Israeli ambassador who polarized people around the world for his more recent remarks regarding the Turkish flotilla carrying supplies for Palestinians that was raided by Israeli forces.
